For tutorial three: contour line drawing I choose to draw coke cans, a lighter, a compass, and a fork. These objects were all drawn from four different perspectives. At first I was very confused by how to draw in different perspectives. Later I changed the way that I was looking at the object, photographed it and then drew from the photograph. This was very helpful. Now this is no longer hard for me.
For tutorial four: observing how light impacts objects, I drew an apple and a water droplet. I followed the textbook’s steps very carefully. This helped me to figure out how to control the value. I think that the idea of value control using different kinds of light on the thing that you are drawing is very interesting. The next exercise is prompt three. This is the definition of the word explicitly. When I searched this word it was hard to imagine the picture that I would draw to show the meaning of the word. I decided to draw the road. The viewer gets to choose how the view the road in the picture. The first picture is a border design. The design is made of repeated shapes. The idea came from seeing fish. I connected the fish head and fish tail in order to make the pattern. Inside the border is a picture of glasses laying on each other. I have just started drawing the glasses. I will finish this picture in the future! The second picture is a new version of a picture that we did two weeks ago with the repeating shapes that we got from the human model. After using that picture as inspiration I took it from my sketchbook and transferred it to a larger piece of paper. I designed the inside in order to enhance the black white contrast in the work.
